Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of ScrapLog, a local-first mobile capture application operated by AMRV GbR (“AMRV”, “we”, “us”). By installing or using ScrapLog, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you.

2. The service

ScrapLog provides an on-device camera, video, audio, note, organisation, preview, export and sharing workflow. Features may depend on your device, operating system, available storage, camera and microphone permissions. ScrapLog does not provide cloud backup, an account, a backend, analytics, tracking, AI processing or a guarantee that files can be recovered after device loss or storage failure.

3. Licence

Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules, AMRV grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use ScrapLog for personal or internal business purposes on devices you control. You may not reverse engineer, circumvent technical restrictions, misuse the app, or use it to violate law or another person’s rights.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of photos, videos, audio, notes and other content you create or import. You are responsible for the content, the people and places you record, and the way you use exports. Obtain required consent before recording people, respect property and privacy rights, follow applicable recording, copyright, trespass, workplace-safety and data-protection laws, and do not use ScrapLog for unlawful surveillance or harassment.

5. Local storage and exports

You are responsible for maintaining enough device storage and making copies of anything important. Deleting a pile, starting a new visit, clearing app data or uninstalling the app can permanently delete local content. When you share or export, you choose the receiving app or service and are responsible for checking its security and terms.

6. Permissions and privacy

Camera and microphone permissions are controlled by your operating system. Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. ScrapLog does not currently include AI functionality or make decisions about you. Store screenshots containing AI-generated artwork are promotional images only and are not app outputs.

7. Availability and updates

We may update, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, platform requirements or product development. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every device. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

8. No warranty; liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScrapLog is provided as available and without promises beyond those expressly required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, a statutory product liability claim, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. For ordinary negligence, AMRV is liable only for foreseeable damage arising from a breach of an essential contractual obligation, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

9. App-store terms

Your download may also be subject to the terms of Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Those stores may provide their own support, refund and billing rules. ScrapLog currently has no in-app subscription or recurring payment. Any future paid feature or trial will be presented with clear price, duration, renewal, cancellation and consumer-rights information before purchase.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. You can stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. If you breach these Terms, the licence ends to the extent allowed by law; your ownership of your content and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

11. Governing law

German law applies, except that consumers keep the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where they habitually reside. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory rights under applicable consumer law. The place of jurisdiction is determined by the applicable law.
