Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AMRV GbR (“AMRV”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the ScrapLog mobile application and the ScrapLog legal and support pages (together, the “Services”). ScrapLog is designed as a local-first capture tool for photos, videos, audio and notes during scrap-yard visits.

For privacy requests, use the same email address and include enough information for us to understand and respond to your request. Please do not send sensitive content unless it is necessary.

2. The app is local-only

ScrapLog does not require an account and has no AMRV backend. Photos, videos, audio tracks, pile names, notes and capture timestamps are stored in the app’s local storage on your device. AMRV does not receive or access this content through ScrapLog.

The app has no advertising SDK, analytics, tracking, profiling, social login, subscription system or artificial-intelligence feature. AI-generated images that may appear in App Store or other store screenshots are marketing artwork only; ScrapLog does not generate, upload or analyse AI content.

3. Information stored on your device

• Capture content: photos, videos and any audio recorded with a video.
• Organisation data: pile names, optional visit name, notes and timestamps.
• Local app settings: preferences needed for the app to remember the current visit and show the interface.

This information remains on the device until you delete individual items, delete a pile, use “New visit — clear this device”, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. The operating system may make its own backups subject to your device settings; AMRV cannot access those backups.

4. Permissions

ScrapLog asks the operating system for:

• Camera: to show the live viewfinder and capture photos or videos.
• Microphone: only when you start recording a video with audio.

You can deny or revoke either permission in your device settings. The corresponding capture feature may then be unavailable, but the rest of the app remains usable where technically possible.

5. Sharing and exports

When you explicitly choose Share, Export or Save, ScrapLog hands the selected file or ZIP archive to the operating system or an app you choose. The receiving app, cloud provider or service then processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy. AMRV is not a recipient of that transfer and cannot control the receiving service.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, local processing is necessary to provide the features you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and operating-system permissions are handled according to the applicable consent or permission rules. We may process a support email to answer your request (Article 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f) GDPR, depending on the request). We may process limited technical request data for the security and delivery of this legal website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Legal website hosting

The legal and support pages are delivered as a static website. The hosting provider may process standard technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL and security information in order to deliver and protect the website. The site does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies or include tracking scripts. The hosting provider may process data in different countries under its own privacy terms. 8. Recipients and international transfers

We do not sell, rent or share your in-app capture content for advertising, analytics or AI training. Apart from services you choose through the operating system’s Share/Save function, the app does not transmit that content. Website hosting and email delivery may involve service providers and international infrastructure. We use the safeguards required by applicable law when such safeguards are legally required.

9. Retention and deletion

AMRV has no server copy of your in-app content. You control local deletion in the app and through your operating system. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, document a legal obligation or defend legal claims, and is then deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to receive portable information. You may exercise rights by contacting amrvco@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection supervisory authority. Because app content is stored only on your device, an access or portability request is normally fulfilled by using the app’s export function.

11. Children

ScrapLog is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

12. Security and changes

We rely on the security controls of your device and the platform sandbox. No device or transmission system is completely secure, so protect your device and export important records before clearing local storage. We may update this Policy when the Services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
